Siu Alaska Corporation is invested in five different commercial fishing ventures in the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands.
Through its ownership in Siku Holdings, Siu Alaska Corporation has an ownership stake in the fishing vessels Aleutian No. 1 and Patricia Lee. The Aleutian No. 1 and Patricia Lee harvest golden king crab and opilio crab in the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands.
A joint venture between Coastal Villages Pollock and Siu Alaska Corporation, BSAI Partners owns six trawl vessels and the associated fishing rights for pollock in the Bering Sea. The pollock is harvested using the fishing vessels Alaska Rose, Bering Rose, Destination, Great Pacific, and Sea Wolf.
Glacier Bay Fisheries
Siu Alaska Corporation owns the longline vessel Glacier Bay and associated cod fishing rights in the Bering Sea/Aleutian Islands. The 154-foot vessel primarily harvests Pacific cod.
Glacier Fish Company
Siu Alaska Corporation holds an ownership stake in Glacier Fish Company, NSEDC’s longtime harvesting partner for its CDQ pollock allocation as well as other quota. Glacier Fish Company fishes for pollock and assorted flatfish with its fleet.
Bering Select was formed to build the first fish oil production facility in the world that produces oil from frozen-at-sea Alaska cod livers. Siu Alaska Corporation and its partner, Clipper Seafoods, provide cod livers from their cod longline vessels. The facility began producing oil in January of 2015.
